About us:
The Tandem Theatre is an independent theatre in Pécs, founded in 2019, based on the close collaboration between civil society organizations and theatre artists. The performances we create aim to amplify the issues addressed by various civil society organizations for the general public, reduce prejudice in society, and promote social awareness and attitudinal change.

Project Description:
The donations will be used to create a concert-theatre performance on alcohol and drug prevention, currently titled Ketrecharc (“Cage Fight”). The script and songs have been written by people recovering from addiction.
The central concept of the performance is that each song is connected in some way to substance use disorders. The monologues linking the songs highlight these connections, gradually revealing the process through which addiction develops as well as the first steps of recovery.
The 45-minute performance will be followed by a 45-minute discussion, which will also involve an addiction specialist.
They aim to raise HUF 750,000.
