Project Description:
The aim of the programme is to develop the competencies that children and young people need for active social participation by renewing the toolkit of the professionals who work with them, including teachers, social workers, and community practitioners. In doing so, the programme seeks to contribute to the development of a democratic society built on strong community foundations. Another key objective is to support the creation of new, values-based communities.
The programme’s primary target group consists of professionals who are actively seeking new methods and approaches, while the secondary target group comprises the children and young people with whom these professionals will apply the methods they learn. Among these professionals, the organization considers the involvement of school social workers particularly important, as they currently have the greatest flexibility to incorporate innovative approaches into their community-based social work.
As the next step towards its overall objective, the organization will:
Establish an adult education school called ActivArte to provide training in effective community arts and participatory advocacy methods, initially focusing on Baranya County while also responding to demand from other regions. Strengthen the organization and prepare it to operate ActivArte, with the medium-term goal of expanding its organisational capacity to a broader regional scale. Build a professional network of training participants, laying the groundwork for establishing local groups beyond Baranya County.
