About us:
The Montázs Association has been working in the fields of arts education, community culture, and theatre in education since 2008. It implements a wide range of cultural and community programmes and is recognized nationally for its professional work. As an independent theatre, it runs an actor training programme and actively contributes to preserving the cultural heritage of the Diósgyőr Steelworks (Vasgyár).

The project aims to bring theatre and performing arts to community spaces and groups that have limited access to cultural programmes, such as small rural communities, residential care homes for older people, and schools. To achieve this, the organization seeks to purchase portable sound equipment that will enable performances to be presented in a wide range of locations.
Doubleable programme
The project uses theatre and theatre-in-education methods to strengthen the social awareness of local communities and encourage their active participation in addressing shared challenges and expressing themselves through culture. By reinterpreting and artistically exploring local cultural heritage as a community, the project promotes active citizenship, intergenerational dialogue, and the involvement of disadvantaged young people in creative processes.
