About us:
KecsUP News is an independent online news portal launched in Kecskemét in 2019 in response to the shrinking space for independent media. Today, the portal is one of the region’s leading alternative news sources, covering local, regional, and national issues. The publisher, the Áramlat Foundation, also organizes community programs and events that promote democratic dialogue.

Project Description:
The goal of KecsUP’s “Dupla hang” project is to create a community access system that allows subscribers to provide others with access to independent local journalism. The project will involve technical development and system implementation. The goal of the fundraising campaign is to raise 660,000 Ft in community funding to develop the system.
